DTF - brilliant results, lower costs

Customers who’ve bought the SABTEX SD-70-3 tell us they’re most impressed by the difference in colour, and the ability to print more detailed designs. This is where DTF excels. No pretreatment, no weeding, but the benefit of a technology that can handle fluorescent inks – widening the gamut as an excellent addition to CMYK.

If you want to offer durable garments in light AND dark material, then with its addition of white ink, the SABTEX SD-70-3 may be ideal. It will also handle stretch materials, essential for many end-customers. And as with all SABTEX machines, the SD-70-3 consumes relatively low amounts of energy from start-up. That helps keep your overheads down. We can offer FLEXIPRINT or ERGOSOFT software with all SABTEX machines, and SABTEX DTF Hot and Cold Peel Films also enhance the DTF printing process, which means you’ll get much better results and exceptional durability.

DTF makes sense. And if you want your business to grow, then having the capacity for increased production is the next step. DTF (Direct To Film) is quite simply the latest print technology for printing stunning garments using water-based inks without the need for Pretreatment or weeding. Quite simply, you can create highly durable printed garments with an efficient inline process, print on light and dark garments with the addition of WHITE ink. Why demo the SD70-3 DTF printer?

  • Direct to Film printers negate the need for pre-treatment and weeding, so that removes time-consuming parts of the print process. That means you’re making more product, faster, and putting less – per item – into your overhead spend.
  • Your clients will notice the difference in quality. A DTF printer directly prints on the PET film, which can be washed and the transferred pattern will not fade or crack or peel off. With a DTF machine, the white ink also forms the base layer of the print itself – it also has a thicker consistency to ensure it covers dark or transparent materials.
  • DTF is more sustainable than standard print. That might not be a big concern for small-volume customers, but certainly matter when you’re contract printing. DTF uses less water and creates fewer by-products and wastage.
  • Durability is up in the print itself, and with our SABTEX machines, you’re able to print on stretch materials too. When it comes to print quality and level of detail, there’s no debate: a DTF printer outshines both DTG and screen printing. DTG (Direct to Garment) prints work best on 100% cotton garments, but DTF can print on nylon, treated leather, cotton, polyester, 50/50 blends, dark and light coloured fabrics.
