Choose A Partner Who Understands Your Business

Written by Aaron Burton on October 9th 2024

When business is going well, it’s easy to be excited about new printers and expanding your production. Many suppliers will make good recommendations, but if things aren’t going to plan then you want a print partner who understands exactly what you need, when, how, and why. Here’s Beth Vallender from Bursali Towels (UK) Ltd. based in Caerphilly, Wales, sharing her views on Sabur…

“Since 2005, Bursali has been a UK-based towel manufacturer and wholesaler that’s been supplying towels to all kinds of customers – hotels, spas, retailers and promotional companies. We import our initial stock from the best factories around the world, and have a strong reputation for offering super high-quality products.

“Nearly eight years ago we introduced in-house production of printed towels to the market. These are polyester microfibre on one side and 100% cotton on the reverse, which we print using dye sublimation. We also offer embroidery branding on our 100% Cotton plain towels as an alternative to printing.

In December 2023, we had a fire and lost everything, and that meant we had to relocate, build new production rooms, and replace our destroyed equipment. But for us the choice was clear when it came to choosing a supplier. We’d worked with Sabur for several years, and they’d really become our partner of choice. When Aaron suggested DGI’s Poseidon printers and the Klieverek calender presses, we were happy to take his recommendation. In situations like this, it helps to have a supplier who realises it’s not about what they’d most like you to buy – it’s about practical support that’ll help you get your business back up and running again.

“I’ll be honest, at the time we were talking to someone else about similar machines, but we preferred the reassurance of working with a supplier we knew. Also, a lot of dye sub machines will handle 1.6 metre wide material with ease, but with our towel stock, we needed something that would handle 1.9 metre-wide material, so Aaron’s recommendation for Poseidons made perfect sense. We’d always had super support from Sabur in the past, and we have a great relationship with the whole of Sabur’s team.

Bursali replaced its lost machines with advanced equipment, including a 1.9-meter-wide 4-colour and a 1.9-meter-wide 6-colour DGI Poseidon printer, along with two Klieverik GTC111-2000 SPFL calender presses. These machines offer the flexibility to handle our 1.9-meter-wide materials and also offer the option of printing with fluorescent inks. Beth said, “Our long-standing relationship with Aaron and Sabur has been built on trust and excellent support and whether you are looking for small or large machines, we highly recommend Sabur as a reliable supplier.”
